About Jatin Das Park

Underground station in the residential Hazra area. Named after freedom fighter Jatindra Nath Das.

Jatin Das Park opened on 29 April 1986, when the line was extended south from Netaji Bhavan to Tollygunge, and is underground with a single island platform. It is named for the revolutionary who died on hunger strike in Lahore Jail in 1929. The station serves the residential streets of Bhowanipore and Harish Mukherjee Road, and is the usual stop for the SSKM and PG hospital complex, which makes its traffic steadier through the day than a purely commuter station.
