About Noapara

Noapara is the interchange between the Blue Line and the Yellow Line, and home to one of the network's main depots. Since the Yellow Line opened in August 2025, Noapara is where you change for direct trains to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (Jai Hind / Biman Bandar).

Interchange station. Noapara connects the Blue Line and Yellow Line. Follow the colour-coded signs through the linking concourse to change between the two lines — allow a few minutes for the transfer.

Buses and trams — Kolkata’s extensive WBTC bus and historic tram routes serve the roads around Noapara. Look for the signposted stops at the station entrances.

Autos, app cabs and taxis — shared auto-rickshaws, yellow taxis and app cabs (Ola, Uber) are readily available at every entrance for short hops to areas off the metro alignment.
