About Noapara

Noapara is the interchange between the Blue Line and the Yellow Line, and home to one of the network's main depots. Since the Yellow Line opened in August 2025, Noapara is where you change for direct trains to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (Jai Hind / Biman Bandar).

Noapara does more work than its size suggests. It opened on 10 July 2013 as the northern terminus of the Blue Line, and it holds the depot where a large part of the fleet is stabled and maintained — which is why it has four platforms (two side and one island) where its neighbours have two. Since 25 August 2025 it has been an interchange: the Yellow Line to the airport starts here, so a passenger from the southern suburbs can now reach the terminal without leaving the system. It is elevated throughout.
