About Kavi Subhash

Kavi Subhash is the southern terminus of the Blue Line, named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Also the southern terminus of the Orange Line. Connects to Garia bus terminus — a major surface bus hub.

Kavi Subhash, still widely called New Garia, is the southern terminus of the Blue Line and since 15 March 2024 the junction with the Orange Line as well. It opened on 7 October 2010, is built at grade, and has four platforms including a Spanish solution — the layout that lets a terminating train unload on one side while loading on the other, which is what a terminus with two lines needs. The New Garia suburban railway station is alongside, so metro, local train and the long-distance bus stands all meet here.
