About City Center

Serves the popular City Centre I shopping and dining mall in Salt Lake.

City Centre serves the Salt Lake shopping complex of the same name and the blocks of the planned township around it — an area laid out on reclaimed salt marsh from the 1960s onwards, with numbered sectors instead of the organic street pattern of old Kolkata. The station opened on 14 February 2020 with the line's first section and is elevated. It is the usual stop for the Salt Lake residential sectors and the Bidhannagar municipal offices.
