About Central Park

Serves the Salt Lake Central Park — major fairground hosting the Kolkata Book Fair (the world's largest non-trade book fair) and the Kolkata International Film Festival.

Central Park is the one station on the Green Line with three platforms — an island plus a side platform — because it was built to handle turnbacks and the extra capacity the line was expected to need. It opened on 14 February 2020. Above it are the Central Park grounds and, a short ride away, Nicco Park and the Eco Park approaches, which makes this a weekend station as well as a working one.
