About Jessore Road
Jessore Road is a Yellow Line station opened on 22 August 2025, serving the busy Jessore Road corridor in north Kolkata, one stop short of the airport at Jai Hind.
Jessore Road is the only at-grade station on the Yellow Line, opened on 25 August 2025. It sits on the road of the same name — the highway north towards the Bangladesh border that carried the refugee columns of 1971 and gave Allen Ginsberg the subject of one of his best-known poems. The station serves the Nager Bazar and Dum Dum Park neighbourhoods, and is the last stop before the line dips underground for the airport.
